Michael Karns
BIOGRAPHY
Michael learned harmonica at age 6, as well as the usual piano lessons. He played Cornet in the Laverne, Oklahoma H.S. stage band. Pop songwriter Jimmy Webb attended there as well. He also sang in the church choir with instruction from his father, an excellent tenor, and his mother who was the choir director. His first recorded works were with the praise bands Kindred Spirits, and Mota, writing songs and playing guitar and bass.
In 1988, he sat in with The Brownstone Blues Band on bass, and recorded an unreleased album of solo piano works.
Michael's "gigues" these days focus on using music to help the elderly become more active.
This is his first RPM Challenge.
